Biography: |
| | Biography:
I was born into a farming family in a culturally diverse community in northern Alberta.
My artistic journey led me to the Alberta College of Art, Calgary where I graduated with a degree in Advertising in 1967.
From 1976 to 2008, my family & I lived in Port Coquitlam. In 2008 we moved to Langley, BC.......
I work in watercolor, acrylic, graphite, mixed media and photography. I have a firm affinity for drawing and feel most satisfied interpreting with the lowly pencil. I also work in portraiture and calligraphy when commissioned and photograph like crazy.......My work has been seen in advertising and the Sanctuary.....
Solo and group shows and exhibitions have included various Tri-City venues, such as Place Des Arts, Blackberry Gallery and the Terry Fox Library.........
Creative processing in two and three-dimensions emerged early in my childhood as I arranged bleached cattle bones, collections of river rocks and wild flowers on the pastures of our farm.
At seventeen these inclinations led me to the Alberta College of Art, where I was stretched and submersed in the expression of art and it’s history for four rich years.......
Art has a richness which benefits all generations, connecting us with, and reflecting the mysteries of Creation. Art is a spiritual connector.
Presently I am working on two series, both in acrylic on canvas......
Series One: Based on Mathew 25: 35 & 36, which concerns Jesus’ questions regarding our response to the “least of these.”.......
Series Two: "O Canada", an interpretation of landscape representative of each of the provinces and territories of Canada are available for sale
